Three Phuket resorts make Condé Nast Traveler Gold List
Three resorts in Phuket appear is this year’s Condé Nast Traveler magazine Gold List, which lists the “best places to stay in the world, selected by the readers”.
In first resort in Phuket is the JW Marriott with an overall score of 91.4 out of a possible 100. The JW this year makes its sixth appearance in the list, having been a regular since 2005.
The Marriott is followed by Amanpuri, Adrian Zecha’s hideaway for the rich and famous, which is also a regular on the Gold List, having appeared in it every year since 2007. It scored 89.5
The third Phuket resort to make the list is Banyan Tree Phuket which, like Amanpuri, makes its fourth appearance. It scored 87.9.
The magazine asks its readers to rate hotels they know on quality of rooms, service, food, location, design and activities. The highest score in Thailand – a near-perfect 98.9 – went to the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. It scored 100 on every aspect apart from location and design.
